About Us
L & S MotorWerks is the product of an experienced and caring mind - we can do a better job than a dealer can and with lower overhead, and do it for less money. A win-win if you will.
We provide specialized auto repair and computer diagnostics for all European vehicles. Our experience allows us to do a thorough and expert job on other make vehicles as well. Sometimes it's hard to know when you ought to take your car to a dealership for service, and when you can decide to visit a local independent mechanic like L & S. If you think that there isn't a cost difference consider this: On average, car owners save an estimated $300+ a year by opting for an independent repair shop versus the car dealership. Obviously our overhead is not as great, and we only have our "experts" here, with no chance of getting the "new guy" or a diagnostic that strictly is relied upon for the answer to any given issue. It's been our experience that those computer models, while often helpful, are NOT always inclusive of all the answers necessary to accurately diagnose all problems with a vehicle. Let us state that another way. It's the operator of the machine that has the most consequential affect on the outcome. In other words, experience matters. By the way, don't worry that by taking your vehicle to an independent service center you will "lose your warranty". That is completely false! Not only that, we work with most warranties, including the factory one that your vehicle comes with and extended aftermarket ones as well. Santiago Menjivar, founder and owner of L&S MotorWerks, has over 29 years experience in the industry, mostly with large highline dealerships. He has worked with dealerships that sell and service BMW, Mercedes, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Infiniti. As these are upscale dealers, he has been around and worked on all makes of vehicles, many with premium price tags, and many others without. That experience has taught him not only how to properly fix and diagnose an issue, but also some of the injustices that exist at a typical auto dealer. He has seen computers take over almost every aspect of a dealership service department. While some of that can be useful and help in diagnosing a problem, good wrenching dictates the human side of mechanics, that is, the ability to think outside the box or draw on past experiences where the machine didn't consider the correct solution. Santiago not only has the experience of working with many of these premium vehicles, as a Service Adviser who also is a top shelf mechanic, he has worked with the people who own these vehicles and those that cater to them. He has a passion for helping people with their car repairs, and making sure they love their vehicle like they did when they first got it. Our Slogan: "WE WILL AIM FOR PERFECTION" |
